Indore : Grade ‘A’ accreditation to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has started drawing its benefits. The biggest impact of top grade has been witnessed on the campus placements of the university. Nearly 1,050 students of different engineering programmes offered by the university teaching departments have been offered jobs by top notch companies.

An elated acting vice chancellor Ashutosh Mishra said that it is good to see companies picking up such a large number of students from the UTD campus. Last year, the DAVV witnessed companies taking away 500 students, a number which rose to 1050 this year. ‘The hike is impressing and encouraging,’ Mishra said.

Five companies participated in campus placements this year. They offered jobs to students from Institute of Engineering and Technology, International Institute of Professional Studies, School of Computer Science, School of Electronics and School of Instrumentation and School of Future Studies and Planning.

DAVV media in-charge Chandan Gupta said though all streams of engineering branches saw impressive placements, Computer Science stream witnessed 100% placements. Of the total students offered jobs, 70% are from UG courses and 30% from PGcourses.
