Indore : Union Railways Minister Sadanand Gowda will review pending railway projects of Indore on November 10 in the city.
Despite the imposition Model Code of Conduct for the IMC elections, there will be no problem to flag off Indore-Jammu train.
The visit of Gowda is considered to be important to get more facilities in the next Railway budget. According to sources, Gowda’s detailed tour programme is awaited from his office. But the date of his arrival is confirmed. According to representative of the Lok Sahba Speaker, Gowda will flag-off new Indore Jammu train and will take stock of Indore-Mhow-Tehi gauge conversion work and later review Indore-Dahod and Dhar-Chhota Udaipur rail project.
Sources said that Gowda will be informed with various rail facilities required for the city. Gowda is coming to the city well before the presentation of the Rail Budget. During the visit, he will discuss about rail facilities with local MP and Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Sumitra Mahajan.
He will be informed about pending rail projects and their importance like Indore-Dahod and Dhar-Chhota Udaipur new line projects, so that in the coming railways budget, he could allocate funds for these projects.
Sources said that imposition of the Model Code of Conduct would not create hurdle for the visit.
