Indore : Management Guru and owner of Outdoor Rakesh Jain on Tuesday spoke in length about team building and management at the workshop, organized by Indore Management Association (IMA).
He said utter confusion, friction and bad performances are very natural and all other positive things come because of effective leadership.
“But making of an effective team requires patience, understanding and nurturing of all sorts, particularly the understanding between employers and employees. The relationship between employers and employees plays a pivotal role in the success of an organization”, he added.
“One should be clear that employer and employee relation is a key success in any business. To maintain such coordination and respect for each other high degree of understanding is required, like more wisdom than intelligence,’ Rakesh Jain expressed these views in the workshop on ‘Excelling as highly effective team’ organized by Indore Management Association (IMA) on Tuesday.
Jain covered various aspects; starting from team building, taking challenges, working with innovation & creativity, and with limited resources. This session was focused on the nature of collaboration in teams and what are the important drivers in creating a collaborative atmosphere. Jain also used some icebreakers to make participant understand the idea of working in teams and what are the potential issues that might arise in working together. Through various interesting activities Mr. Rakesh also took people into the stretch zone from comfort level. He also focused on the importance of communication and how it affects growth.
Participants attained multi-pronged benefits. They understood the latest concept of ‘highly effective team’; whereby, they could improve their true understanding of corporation and coordination in team. They would be able to perform better in various echelons of command or as a team player in the system. Participants also enhanced their capability, with regard to; how to lead, understand the scenario at work place and manage to make a worthwhile place of work for self and others by understanding from the planning to execution.
Jain concluded with that if a person is working alone, then also he should work on the concept of Team – (Forming –> Storming -> Norming -> Performing) as his/her work also affects the work of Team or the person who is not part of the team.
