Indore : Clocks gifted to employees of the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya on the completion of 50 years of the university have stopped functioning.

The hands of most of the clocks have been blocked by the golden jubilee year logo superimposed on the dial of clocks.

Employees said that the logo was of paper and due to moisture it got thicker and blocked the hands of the clocks.

“ The clocks are useless now,” they said requesting the university authorities to take it back.

The university authorities had placed an order for the clocks before Ajanta company.

The company was provided with golden jubilee year logo of the university with a demand to put it on the dial of the clocks for memory of the jubilee year.

The dealer instead of getting the log printed on the dial superimposed it on the dial screen.

The material used for preparation of logo got thicker due to moisture and the clocks stopped functioning.

The university sources said that they had lodged a complaint about it to the company and it has agreed to rectify the clocks.
