Dhar : In a drive carried out by the city police superintendent, Dhar, against the bike thieves, police have arrested four bike thieves till now and recovered nine stolen bikes from them.
Acting on a tip-off, Dhar police had taken Om Prakash Dhakad (27) into custody and interrogated him wherein he confessed that he had stolen two bikes and later the police had recovered both the bikes. This action was carried out under the guidance of city police superintendent Vijay Shankar Dwivedi.
In second such action, police arrested three bike thieves and recovered seven bikes from them. Sources said that, near the Bhoj hospital, Dhar, police tried to stop a motorcycle on which three persons were going but they didn’t listen to police and tried to flee. Then, on the grounds of suspicions, Police chased them and nabbed the bikers. When police asked for the documents, they did not give the satisfactory answer, due to which police took them under custody. After interrogation, they revealed that they had stolen many bikes and gave detail information about them.
Police identified the thieves as Lakhan Giri (30), Ravi Bagri (24) and Deepak Solanki (24). Station in-charge Chatrapal Singh Solanki, head constables Deepak, Rajendra Singh and several other constables accomplished this arrest.
