Ratlam: Former Corporator Gopal Soni (BJP) who is husband of present corporator and MIC member of Ratlam Muncipal Corporation, Mrs Monika Soni committed suicide by consuming sulphas tablets. According to the information, Gopal Soni, 48 was in Morwani area in the morning at about 10 AM where he stopped motor cycle rider to take him to District hospital. He was taken to District hospital in an autorickshaw from From Tripolia Gate where he died after 15 minutes.
Large number of BJP workers assembled at the district hospital when the news spread like wild fire. The reason of suicide is still not known. Police have registered a case with regards to the incident.
