Indore: A major fire broke out in a shop of Choithram Vegetable Mandi on Monday afternoon and soon it spread to other shops. The vegetables stored in these shops and two hand- carts gutted in the fire. The fire brigade personnel had to work hard to control the fire.

According to the fire- brigade, the fire started from shop of Teenu Kishan and spread to his neighbouring shops. Shopkeepers immediately informed the fire- brigade and also started move to control the fire. But, the fire spread to neighbouring shops of Kanhaialal, Pushkar Rao Silawat, Mahesh Chauhan and another.

The fire brigade reached the spot and managed to control the fire by using three water tankers. S- I of firebrigade Tehsildar Singh Sikarwar said that the gutted shops were made with tin- sheets and wooden logs. The shops were filled with gunny bags, potatoes, onions and in one shop two hand- carts were kept.
