Indore : Generally the possibility of arthritis in those joints of the body which do not bear load means non-load bearing joints like shoulder joints is very less. But those patients, who suffer from it, face a lot of difficulty in doing their daily routine activities like driving, lifting weights, etc.

In this condition patient suffers from a lot of pain and he is not even able to lift his hand.

Till now surgeries like muscles tightening or shoulder hemi arthoplasty was been done to tackle this problem. But that would only lessen their pain, and they are not able to do normal activities with their hands.

All these problems could be solved by total replacement surgery. In which, reverse shoulder arthoplasty is the most advanced methodology, which is conducted in Central India for the first time by Dr Sunil Rajan at Synergy Hospital. Dr Sunil Rajan has received special training of this surgical methodology from the US.

Dr Sunil Rajan said, “Reverse shoulder arthoplasty not only releases patient’s from pain but also makes the movement of their shoulder natural and they are able to do all their activities normally.

Recently we have conducted this operation successfully on a patient from Indore who was suffering from this problem.

In the operation done by reverse shoulder arthoplasty method, the head artificial part of bone called humarus is fitted by a base plate in the shoulder’s glenoid region, which makes the shoulder movement extended and natural.
