Fire breaks out in Ranipura market

Indore : Panic gripped Jawahar Marg near Ranipura market after a fire broke out at a footwear godown, on Monday morning. Residents of Jawahar Marg and Ranipura noticed thick black smoke over their buildings and smelt smell of burning of rubber around 10 am.

Soon they came to know that fire broke out in a godown situated on the first floor of a multi-storied building. Some shopkeepers noticed the smoke and fire coming out of a footwear shop owned by Rajendra Ahuja and immediately informed the shop owner and fire brigade.

Meanwhile, residents of the surrounding areas gathered at the spot situated close to a power grid between Jawahar Marg and Ranipura. By the time fire tenders arrived the scene and began operation, all the goods including rubber and plastic footwear were gutted. As many as 6 tankers of water and foam used to extinguish the blaze.
