Indore : Food and Drug Administration Department continued its drive against adulterated food products a day before Raksha Bandhan on Saturday to prevent consumers from eating adulterated food products.
A team led by SDM Varad Murti Mishra raided three shops in Sapna Sangeeta area on Saturday and collected samples of sweetmeats and other milk products. “We collected samples of mawa from Rathore Sweets, located at Sapna Sangeeta, samples of dudh katli and other sweet meats from Baba Dairy in Sindhi Colony and also some sweets from Meenakshi Sweets,” a Food Safety Officer said.
He said they have sent the samples for testing and will act against the shop owners if any adulteration is found in the products.
It is to be noted that FDA and district administration has continuously been raiding at various places and also seized large amount of spurious mawa on Friday which was loaded on a bus.
