INDORE: A Family Court on Friday ordered a diamond advisor, who is a resident of Delhi to pay Rs 30,000 per month alimony to his divorced wife for her survival.

According to the woman’s ( plaintiff) advocate KP Maheshwari, the family court’s Chief Additional Judge HM Vajpayee in his verdict observed that the couple was divorced in a court earlier and the wife has the right to claim for survival allowance.

The court further observed that the husband overlooked the basic requirement of his divorced wife and ordered him to pay Rs 30,000 per month on 10th day of every month.

Also, asked him to bear the complete expense incurred in the case. Ankita, a resident of Indore, got married in 2011 in a lavish ceremony with Rahul Lunia, a resident of Delhi.

After spending sometime with husband in Delhi, the women sought divorce from her husband and filed a case in the family court. The husband has shown an annual income of Rs 8 lakh while he is diamond advisor in a renowned jewellery shop.
