INDORE: The huge turnout for voting in this Assembly election is being translated by both the leading political parties of the state, BJP and Congress as a response to their call to voters.
City Congress has accused the BJP of misusing government machinery to get an edge in this election. The party claimed that the BJP tried to register on priority those people in the voters’ list, who are considered as its vote bank, while those areas were neglected which are known for their support to the Congress. However, the Congress also claimed that the huge turnout proves that the BJP has failed to capitalise by using this tactic.
City Congress president Pramod Tandon was confident that people have voted against the BJP Government this time. On the other hand, the BJP is also trying to translate the huge turnout in its favor claiming that it would favour the party in this election. However, it remains to be seen which party would get mileage when the votes are counted.
