Indore/Mhow : An 80-year-old man was critically injured in a monkey attack near Indo-Rama unit in Pithampur, on Monday. The simian got angry when it was being hit with a wooden stick. The Injured was rushed to MY Hospital in a critical condition.
According to information, Mohan Lal of Pithampur was attacked and injured by the monkey when he was sitting on the stairs of a temple near his house.
Shyam Lal, son-in-law of Mohan, said, “Mohan was sitting on the stairs of the temple in the morning when a monkey came near him and tried to attack him. When he tried to get-rid of the monkey by hitting him with a wooden stick, the animal attacked on his face and nose and injured him severely.”
He further said that local residents saved Mohan from the monkey and rushed him to MY Hospital in 108 Ambulance.
CMO in-charge Dr Amarnath Yadav said, “Mohan had come to the hospital in a critical condition. He got serious injuries on his face and nose. After primary treatment, he was admitted in the surgery department of the hospital.”
