Will move High Court against the Govt

Indore: In the wake of directives issued by the MP High Court, on Friday, the MP Medical Officers’ Association ( MPMOA) had to call off its strike.The association has claimed that it will move the High Court as its demands have not been met by the State Government.

President of MPMOA Dr Ajay Khare said that because of the directives of the HC, the association had to call off the strike but it won’t let go the issue and move the HC and if needed the Supreme Court against the government.

He also stated that doctors had no other option but to call for the strike as the State Government had been ignoring their demands for long.Raising doubts over the government’s intention regarding fulfilling of their demands, Khare said that in September last, the State Government gave in writing to the association to resolve its issues.

Later, they had to call for the strike after waiting for four months when their demands were not met. A written agreement was also reached between the Principal Secretary, Health and the MPMOA. It is noteworthy that the doctors have been demanding for removal of anomalies in salary structure, formation of a committee to see the private practice by the government doctors, and taking decision on suspension of 40 doctors.
