Indore : Nearly half of areas of the City faced powers cuts from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning forcing residents to ring up offices of Western Region Power Distribution Companies, but their calls went unanswered. Neither executives of call centre of the Discom, nor its employees of divisional offices took the calls to tell the harried residents when the power supply will be restored. The power supply got disrupted on Wednesday evening when strong winds hit the city followed by rains. Many areas plunged into darkness as power supply got disrupted while other parts saw electricity playing hide and seeks. From Nipaniya to Aerodrome areas and colonies alongside Bypass to Khandwa road faced power supply for several hours. Power supply got snapped about 4 pm on Wednesday at Shakti Nagar, Babu Murari Nagar, Manu Colony, Chaurasia Nagar and adjacent colonies in Aerodrome area. On the other part of the city, Nipaniya, Tulsi Nagar and colonies alongside Bypass faced power cuts. Power supply could be restored about 10 pm in theses area but it again got disrupted. Grater Vaishali, Siddhipuram, Ahilya Colony and Suryadev Nagar in Annapurna area also faced frequent power cuts.
