Dewas (Madhya Pradesh): Police on Saturday claimed to have busted a sex racket with arrest of 12 people including six women.

Police sources said that all the women are residents of Delhi. They were brought here by a middleman.

Following a tip-off, a team of Bank Note Press police station raided a luxury hotel Maple Blue located on Ujjain Road. The hotel belongs to four persons including a police officer.

However, hotel owners have rented it to a third person to run it. “We have got information that the hotel administration has invited some girls from Delhi and flesh trade was on in the hotel. When a police team raided, 12 people including six girls were found in objectionable state. A case has been registered and further investigation is on,” said Dewas superintendent of police Dr Shivdayal.

Police sources said that flesh trade was going on in the hotel for last few days. “People from Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain and other cities stay at hotel regularly. The hotel administration was in contact with some middlemen in Delhi who sent girls to hotel from Delhi. The hotel administration was also used to provide photographs to customers on WhatsApp,” said a police officer.
