Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh): Kotwali police, on Sunday, registered a case against an unknown person for allegedly placing derogatory posts about Hindu deities during the Navratri festival.
An FIR was registered under section 188 of IPC on the basis of a complaint filed by Hindu Student Army coordinator Madhav Jha that a person has been posting derogatory posts on the social media platform ‘Facebook’ through an account identified as ‘Kadawaji Mohe’.
According to him, the person has been allegedly posting objectionable posts related to the Constitution, projecting temple priests as thieves of temple donation among others.
The unknown person made yet another defamatory post about Goddess Durga during the Navratri festival, triggering the religious sentiments of the community.
Upon complaint, Kotwali police launched an investigation to identify the account holder’s name and address. Organisation’s vice-president Saurabh Kaithwas demanded strict action against the accused.
