Indore : On Monday, three separate incidents of suicide rocked the city as all the deceased were young but they gave up to the circumstances. The deceased included a MCA student and a CA aspirant, both were depressed due to their diseases and they didn’t find any solution better than suicide. The number of suicide cases is increasing in the city and at least two such cases are reported every day.

MCA student hangs self

A 24-year-old MCA student committed suicide by hanging himself in Rajendra Nagar area on Monday. The youth was depressed by his study pressure and stated in his suicide note that he was turning Ghajini’s Aamir Khan.

According to Rajendra Nagar police, the deceased has been identified as Rahul Kumar, a resident of Sandipani Colony and a MCA second year student. He committed suicide at his rented house. Rahul hailed from Jharkhand and was living with his two friends Rahul Mishra and Sujit Kumar, who study in a college at Rajendra Nagar.

The incident was discovered when Rahul and Sujit returned to their room after giving their semester exam. Rahul didn’t open the door when they knocked the room for a long time.

“Later, they both broke the door with the help of their landlord and found Rahul hanging from the ceiling.

We have also recovered a suicide note in which the deceased mentioned about his short term memory loss and mentioned that he was turning Ghajini’s Aamir Khan,” said Rajendra Nagar police station incharge TI Kamlesh Sharma.

Sujit said that Rahul was under severe pressure of exams, slated to begin from January 5 and was unable to cope with severe educational stress. “He studied till Sunday late night with us, but looked stressed,” he added.

It is to be noted that a 22-year-old BE student Rahul Kumar Singh, had allegedly ended his life in similar manned at a rented flat in city’s Sant Nagar locality, after leaving a suicide note which read “I Love Katrina… One day I will.”

CA aspirant ends life

A 21-year-old CA aspirant committed suicide by hanging herself at Sachchidanand Nagar in Annapurna police station area on Monday. She was depressed by her disease.

According to Annapurna police, one Nupur Sharma (21) committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling. She was alone at her room at the time of incident as her family members had gone to attend a marriage function.

“In her suicide note, Nupur mentioned about her rheumatic disease and also said sorry to her parents. She also wrote not to cancel the marriage function of her elder sister which is scheduled on February 6. We have sent the body for post-mortem and started an investigation,” police said.

36-year-old hangs self

A 36-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at Nehru Nagar area. He was under depression due to his financial conditions.

According to police, Mahesh Yadav, a resident of Street No 9 in Nehru Nagar committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling. No suicide note was recovered from the spot but the family members said that he was under depression for a long time. Police have started an investigation into the case.
