Indore :Anti-larvae team of the Health Department found dengue larvae at more than 10 spots in Chacha Nehru Hospital campus including 5 places inside the hospital, on Tuesday.
The team also found larvae in the overhead water tanks of the hospital and garden.
According to the health department officials, the team launched the drive at 10 am in the hospital and stayed for more than 2 hours there to spray medicines and fluid to eliminate larvae.
“We have found larvae in all overhead water tanks of the hospital as all the tanks were open. It was also found near water coolers in the hospital and at other places,” the health officers said.
It is to be noted that the team had also found larvae in MY Hospital campus, District Hospital campus and other hospitals in the city.
However, the officials are hiding information of larvae in the hospitals to the health department.
11 test dengue positive
In-charge of IDSP Dr GL Sodhi said that 11 patients tested dengue positive on Tuesday.
“These patients belong to various areas of the city including Jawahar Marg, Nipaniya, Bada Ganpati and others. Except one patient, all the patients were discharged healthily from the hospital,” Dr Sodhi said. With this, the total number of positive patients reached 91 so far.
