Indore : In an inspiring statement, MGM Medical College Dean Dr Pushpa Verma told the victim girls, who were allegedly teased by a peon of the physiotherapy department, to be like ‘Mardaani’ and teach a lesson so that the teasers could not muster courage to disrespect them.
While listening to the complaints of girls of BPT II year, on Friday, Dr Verma told the girls that they should not give up at any situation and must turn the accused black and blue immediately.
The Dean also suugested them to take small things to their vigilance, so that they can act before any untoward incident.
“When the peon entered your girls’ common room, you should protest first. You were four girls and you could treat him well if he was doing anything wrong,” the Dean told the girls.
After taking a written complaint from the girls, Dr Verma assured them to launch a probe into the matter by constituting a committee.
Meanwhile, the victims also accused Vice-Principal of Physiotherapy Department Dr Meena for her role and they fear that she could be a problem in future as an effect of the complaint.
The Dean assured the girls for impartial probe and said she is also a woman and she is with them.
It is to be noted that family members of four girls lodged a complaint with HoD of Physiotherapy about the unsavoury incident with the girls.
However, HoD Dr Pradeep Bhargava claimed that it was a misunderstanding and the matter is over following apology by the peon.
