Indore :  Much to the proud of Indore in particular and the state in general, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), the ‘A’ accredited university by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, would be organising Inter-University National Youth Festival this time.

This is for the second time any university in the state will be holding national youth festival. Jiwaji University in Gwalior had previously organised the festival.

Dean student welfare Rajeev Dixit said that DAVV is celebrating its golden jubilee year and the national youth festival-2014 is a gift by Association of Indian University to the university.

“The festival would be organised in gardener scale tentatively in January.”

About 1000 participants from different universities across the country would participate in the competition.

Finals of 25 events would be held during national festival.

Dixit said that initially competitions are held at college, inter-college and university-level. Then the winning teams and individual winners participate at zonal-level festival.

The winners of zonal-level festival participate in national-level festival.

There are five zones in the country – East, West, North, South and Central. From each zone, two teams for each event would come to the DAVV for final rounds.
