Indore: Much to the delight of the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya ( DAVV), its faculty member Dr DS Bhilare has managed to get patent on cell phone communication security module. With new internet services easing out and reaching till Smart phone and managing communication data has become a challenge, the module prepared by Dr Bhilare could help in providing security to the cell phone companies.
“ It’s great to see my innovative work getting international recognition,” said Dr Bhilare.With his work, the DAVV has become the first university in the State to obtain patent on computer science discipline.
His module is on “ method for improved quality of services in terms of priority and services at transport layer of PCP/ IP suite.” The patent paper was published recently in journal of patent office.Head of computer centre of DAVV, Dr Bhilare said that the mobile communication data runs on different layers and his module would be able to deal with its security if adopted.
The cell phone companies are spending billions of dollars for security of mobile communication data.By using the module prepared by Dr Bhilare they can now do so.As being patented, the companies would have to pay for using the module prepared by this faculty.
The university had sent two more scientific items prepared by School of Pharmacy but they were rejected, sources said.
