Indore: Chief Secretary Antony DeSa directed the officials to send details of losses incurred by farmers due to hailstorm and rains latest by Wednesday to Bhopal office. Detailed review of the reports would be conducted on Thursday.

Speaking through video- conferencing, DeSa directed the officials on Tuesday to submit their reports by Wednesday so that timely disbursement of compensation could be made to affected farmers.

The CS also instructed the officials to ensure scholarships grant on time. He took a case of delay in scholarship disbursement to a student under Rajiv Gandhi Technical University seriously and stated that the department would be responsible for any delay in disbursement.

He also instructed them to provide the benefits of self- employment scheme to all the beneficiaries. Complaints were also received regarding delay in payment to labourers under MNREGA. He instructed the officials to ensure payments to labourers in time. He also said that any officer causing delay in payment would face action.

Regarding Cochlear implantation for deaf and dumb people, the chief secretary asked the officials to open more centers so that beneficiaries can get the advantage of the government scheme.
