Indore : Thieves broke into two places in the city and decamped with booty worth thousands.

The first theft occurred in Clerk Colony where thieves entered the house of Harsh Pareta and stole Rs 25,000 along with silver ornaments. Harsh, who is employed with private company, is staying with his mother. At the time of theft, Harsh had gone to office while his mother had gone to Kanakeshwari Dham.

Dowry harassment

The police have registered a case against a man under Dowry Act on the complaint of his wife. The woman, a resident of Biyabani area, lodged a complaint that she was married to Pankaj Kalyane. After marriage she got pregnant three times but her husband forced her to abort and later began to harass her on the ground that she was unable to bear children. He even demanded Rs 5 lakh to buy a car and when all efforts to reason with him failed, the woman sought the police intervention.

Accident

A man succumbed to his injuries he received in an accident on Thursday. According to police, Qayyum (40) a resident of Pardesipura met with accident on Sanwer Road on July 6. Qayyum was seriously injured and was taken to the private hospital where he was undergoing treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries, on Thursday.

Youth roughed up by wife

A youth of Narmada Colony in Ravindra Nagar was beaten up by his wife. He lodged a police complaint against his wife. According to police, the youth, Santosh Verma, had gone to Nageen Nagar to make peace with his estranged wife. However an argument ensued between them and it turned ugly when the woman beat him up.
