Indore: In a relief to Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan, a local court here on Monday turned down a petition against him over his statement over the Kargil war.Dismissing the petition, the court stated that there was no need to entertain the compliant petition against Khan as an FIR had already been filed against him for his controversial statement.

Ajay Tiwari had filed the complaint petition against Khan in the court of first class judicial magistrate Vinod Kumar Patidar on April 11 demanding an FIR under sections 124 A (treason), 153 A, B (Spreading religious hatred), 420 (cheating), 499, 500, 501 (defamation), 504, 511 (provoking riot).
