Court asks reluctant police to file FIR against fashion designer

Indore: Following the orders of a court, a fashion designer and her husband were booked on the charges of cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy in a cheque dishonour case on Thursday. Advocate Aadhar Sharma said that he had given Rs 5 lakh loan on interest to fashion designer Varsha Koserwal and her husband Avinash Koserwal for their life- style business in 2011.

“ After some installments, they stopped paying to me.To this, I sent them a legal notice. As a results, Avinash Koserwal gave me three post- dated cheques.But all of them were dishonoured,” Sharma said.Feeling cheated, Sharma went to Palasia police station to lodge a complaint against the Koserwal couple but police allegedly refused to book them.

To this, he moved a private complaint in the court seeking FIR against the couple. The court directed the police to book the accused under Sections 420 ( cheating), 467 ( forgery) and 120B ( criminal conspiracy). Palasia police have adhered to the court orders.
