Indore : Regional Commissioner of Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Ajay Mehra has instructed all the civil contractors to bring labourers and other staff under PF umbrella.
Addressing a meeting of civil contractors and employers at his office, Mehra said that it has been noticed that the civil contractors are not giving the benefit of PF to their labourers and other staff. First the contractors and their firm should get registered with the EPFO office.
The PF contribution should be deposited at PF office by the 15th of every month. He made it clear that exemption of five days given earlier is terminated.
Briefing about the instruction given to the employers, Mehra said that employers should avail the Universal Account Number (UAN) to their employees. He also advised employers to submit Form-5 A as soon as possible.
