Indore: After demanding replacement of six select members of executive council, Congress has now trained its guns on principals of government colleges in the city. Congress has requested from the state government to transfer principals of four government colleges in the city to other places claiming that they are BJP and RSS ideologues.
“We have written a letter to higher education minister Jitu Patwari informing him that BJP placed many of its supporters in government colleges in big cities. As per our information, principals in four government colleges are BJP and RSS ideologues. We have demanded him to remove them from their present positions,” said Congress secretary Tejprakash Rane.
He stated that principals at Atal Behari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College, Government Law College, Old GDC and New GDC follow the ideology of saffron brigade and should be removed from their existing positions.
Congress city vice-president Manish Modi also claimed that there are many professors in government colleges who also follow ideology of RSS and BJP and they too are to be removed from their existing positions.
It is to be noted previously Congress had demanded from the state government to replace six select members of the executive council of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) with newer faces as the party thought that they were BJP and RSS ideologues and not working in the interest of the university and students as a whole.
