Dhar : Congress has claimed that the MLA of Kukshi, Surendra Singh Baghel is innocent and was being implicated in a false case. District PCC chief, Bal Mukund Singh Gautam in a memorandum submitted to the collector, have said that a case was registered against Baghel just to cover up crimes of sand mafia. He claimed that workers of sand contractor manhandled villagers on May 4th and a report was filed against all these workers at Kukshi police station.
Gautam said that the accused later gave an application which doesn’t even have name of the MLA but the police have registered a case against Baghel which is totally false and baseless. Gautam demanded a high level inquiry in this episode to bring out the truth.
Meanwhile MLA of Manawar and former minister Ranjana Baghel have said that a case have been rightly registered against the Kukshi MLA. She expressed strong objection over Surendra Singh Baghel’s outburst against women. She said that the MLA has insulted women folk by abusing them over phone. Ranjana Baghel said that people of Kukshi were being terrorised by the MLA and police action against him may put a stop over his atrocities.
