Indore: The Congress is mulling over declaring new candidates on three Lok Sabha seats of Madhya Pradesh by withdrawing the previously declared candidates.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee ( MPCC) chief Arun adav and other senior leaders have been called to New Delhi by the party high command. Sources claim that there is turmoil of replacing candidates on three seats— Dhar, Betul and Satna.
Umang Sengar, nephew of senior leader Jamuna Devi, was given ticket from Dhar constituency, but owing to his continuous expression of reluctance at contesting election, the party high command is considering to replace him with another. Sources claim that there is high probability that sitting- MP Gajendra Singh Rajukhedi would get ticket from this parliamentary seat.
Simlarly, Rahul Chauhan was given ticket from Betul. But, since BJP- rebel candidate Ajay Shah has joined the Congress, the equations have changed. It is noteworthy that Ajay Shah is brother of Vijay Shah, who is member of State Cabinet in the Shivraj Government. Ajay has earlier served as a bank manager and had sought ticket from the BJP. Now, he has joined the Congress and most probably he would get the ticket.
Ajay Singh alias Rahul Bhaiyya, son of former Congress senior leader Arjun Singh, was given Lok Sabha ticket from Satna. But opposition from certain quarters including a lobby of Muslim group is dead against him. Though Ajay Singh has commenced his election campaign, yet there is high probability that another candidate would be sought to replace him.
