Indore : Vishisht School of Management, in association with Global Peace Foundation, McGilligan Centre for Sustainable Development and Peace University, the USA organised a conference on ‘Global Ethics for Peace and Development’ here.
More than 200 research papers were presented by researchers, academicians, industrialists and students.
Padmashri Janak Palta McGilligan was the chief guest and board director, Global Peace Foundation, Dr Subhash Chandra was also present in this conference. Conference secretary Dr SM Anas Iqbal welcomed the guests and explained the objectives of the conference to promote culture of ethics and peace for creating a peaceful and harmonious society through ethics and values, education for good governance and sustainable development.
McGilligan said, “To save our planet it is very important for us to wisely use our nonrenewable resources and try switching over to renewable resources.”
Dr Chandra said, “Ethical leadership is must and key to peaceful world and role of youth in making peaceful global family.”
Institution’s managing director Naveen Narang in his speech discussed how ethics play important role in business and why sharing is important.
Dr Roshan Benjamin Khan said, “When we concentrate on South Asia, the entire region is reeling under acute internal and external ethnic and religious problems to the level of volcanic eruption. The greatest need of this hour in South Asia is a negotiator, who can rebuild a positive environment for peace talks and curb those factors that are threatening basic human rights.”
