Ratlam: Commissioner Ujjain Division Shivshekhar Shukla and IG V Madhukumar reached here on Wednesday to take stock of the preparations for the counting of the votes of Lok Sabha elections, which will take place on Friday. Both the officials reached at the Government Girls College premises where the counting to take place and reviewed the preparations.
District Collector Dr Sanjay Goyal informed that there will be separate way for the movement of the government staff and political parties representatives. SP Dr G K Pathak informed about the preparations for the safety during the counting and posting of the security staff.
Meanwhile, as per information, counting will commence at 8 am and in the beginning counting of postal ballot will take place and from 8.30 am after that counting of the votes of the EVM machines will take place. All the officials and employees posted for counting will have to reach at the government Girls college by 6 am, where counting will take place. Mobile and calculator will not be allowed. The rehearsal of the counting of the votes took place from 3 pm on Thursday at the counting place.
Ratlam district has five assembly segments, which are divided in three parliamentary seats. Ratlam city, Ratlam rural and Sailana are part of Ratlam-Jhabua-Alirajpur parliamentary seat, Jaora is part of Mandsaur parliamentary seat and Alote is part of Ujjain parliamentary seat.
After counting, the final results will be sent to Jhabua for Ratlam parliamentary seat where final results will be declared. Similarly, the figures of the Jaora and Alote will be sent to Mandsaur and Ujjain respectively for inclusion in the final results of the respective parliamentary seats.
