Indore: The move to avail double payments on a single bill of snacks landed seven officials of forest department in jail. The special court judge DN Mishra rejected their bail appeal and ordered for imprisonment as charge sheet against them was produced by Lok Ayukta police in a scam of Rs 95,000 on Tuesday.

According to information, the accused officials had availed double payments on single bills of snacks called for meetings and fabrication works. As the complaint in the matter was lodged, Lok Ayukta police registered a case and inquired into the matter only to find charge true.

The Lok Ayukta police on Tuesday filed a charge sheet against accused ranger Fatehsingh Ninama of Manpur, OSD OP Sharma of Mhow, ranger Rameshwar Kanasiya of Mhow, Devkaran Kadam of Manpur, deputy regional officer Bharat Singh Chauhan of aswant Nagar range ( Manpur), Aman Singh Tomar of Khurdi Range ( Manpur) and Sohanlal Pal of Khurdi range ( Manpur).

The charge sheet stated that the officials produced one bill of snacks they relished during meetings two times and availed payments through corrupt practices. Similarly, they also did the same for getting double payments on bills of fabrication bills.

In totality, a scam of Rs 95,000 was done. Moved by the charges, the court sent all the accused to jail rejecting their application of bail. On listening to the ruling, OP Sahrma fainted in the court.
