Indore : Following the directives of Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey, the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), on Monday amended timetable of the on-going MBA II semester exams thereby removing a hiccup before civil service preliminary exam to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on August 23.

“We have cancelled ‘Business Research Methods’ paper of MBA II semester scheduled for August 22 in view of the UPSC exam,” DAVV Exam Controller Ashesh Tiwari said adding that the paper was cancelled following instructions from the divisional commissioner.

The commissioner had written to the DAVV to cancel all its exams scheduled on August 22 and 23 for the sake of UPSC civil service preliminary exam to be held on August 23.

The commissioner directives came close on the heels of a letter to the commissioner’s office by the IPS Academy wherein it had refused to become centre for the UPSC exam citing ongoing MBA exams.

IPS Academy is one of the centres for the UPSC exam in the city. Around 12000 candidates in the city are expected to take the UPSC exam.
