Indore : Indore would get a whopping Rs 108 crore from the State Government for various development projects. Chief Secretary Antoney DeSa said that the fund would be released soon.
During a meeting held to review progress of Simhasta work at Ujjain on Saturday, the CS gave these assurances. The meeting was chaired by DeSa and the district Collectors of Indore and Ujjain divisions attended it.
After the meeting, Indore Collector P Narahari said that Rs 18 cr would be released for developing a parallel road for Jawahar Marg. It may be recalled that due to increasing traffic on Jawahar Marg, the district administration is planning to develop an alternate road.
Similarly, the State Govt would release Rs 30 core for sewage project and sewage water of 6 nullahs of the city would be treated. This step was taken to stop polluted water entering Khan River.
The Collector further said that the city would also receive Rs 33 crore for construction of MR-4, which is considered important for Simhasta fair as it will link Laxmibai Nagar station with City main station.
He said that Indore would get Rs 20 cr for construction of ISBT at Kumerdi. The CS assured the collectors that funds would be released soon so that the construction work would begin.
