Raipur : Child welfare committees’ regional convention commenced at the newly constructed rest house’. The convention has been organised by National Child Rights Protection Commission and Chhattisgarh State Child Protection Commission.
Women and child development minister Ramshila Sahu ignited the lamp and addressing the programme, said that sacraments development in children and keeping them happy are our duties. This can be achieved by qualitative education and physical and mental development. She stated that Children are future of every society. A united society is based of good future of children. The Child Welfare Committees hold responsibilities of care and rehabilitation of special care and protection needy children under Juvenile Welfare Act. Such nature programmes will unwrap various solutions for child rights protection and child problems.
Shatabdi Subodh Panday, Chairperson of Chattisgarh Child Rights Protection Committee, in her welcome speech said that child welfare and putting smile on crying faces of children are our responsibilities. Dinesh Shrivastav, Women and Child Development Office Secretary Chattisgarh, spoke that children safety will lead to progress of the country.
Kushal Tandon, Chairperson of National Child Rights Protection Committee spoke over ‘Child Rights Retrospect’. The programme was attended by Kushal Tandon, Chairperson of National Child Rights Protection Commission, Shatabdi Subodh Panday, President of Chhattisgarh Child Rights Protection Commission, Usha Chaturvedi, President of Madhya Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission, Dr Shruti Mahapatra Chairperson of Oddissa Child Rights Protection Committee, Dinesh Shrivastav, Secretary of Chattisgarh Women and Child Development Office and representatives of Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh Child Welfare Committees.
