- Pilgrims started thronging new Sangam at Ujjani

Indore: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will reach village Ujjaini, the origin place of Kshipra, on Sunday and witness testing work of his dream, Narmada- Kshipra river linking project. The NVDA sources said that the CM will inspect testing work of the link project at Ujjaini, a point where the water of Narmada is going to pour in River Kshipra. Sources further said that the CM’s visit would be for a short time and he is specially coming to see the testing work of pipelines at Ujjani.

The foundation laying ceremony of the project was also organised in the same manner in November 2012, when former Deputy PM LK Advani was the chief guest.However, the NVDA engineers conducted testing of the pipelines on Friday too. It is notable that they had conducted the first successful testing of the 49- km- long pipeline on Thursday night, when the water of Narmada reached originating point of Kshipra river at Ujjani.
The engineers stopped the testing after 1.30 hours. They also detected some problems at Power Station ( PS- 4) on Friday, later- on it was resolved and thereafter they conducted three more tests.After the tests, the water of Narmada has been filled in the channels of Kshipra. The pilgrims of the nearby areas started visiting the place and also took dip in the kunda.
