Indore : Lasudia police, on Tuesday, arrested two persons, including employee of a cement trader in connection with confining the trader and looting cash and valuables four days ago. It may be recalled that cement trader Balwant Singh, who has a shop in Scheme No 114, was confined by his employee and his aide on July 10 afternoon.

Later, the two accused collected Rs 5000 from trader’s trouser pocket, Rs 48,000 from cash box, a gold chain and a mobile phone and fled the scene. Singh somehow managed to come out of the room and filed a police complaint.

Initially, Lasudia police were not ready file a case and received the application only. However, when senior officers came to know about the incident, they reprimanded TI Pradeep Singh Ranawat. Later Lasudia police registered a case.

The seriousness of the crime and the manner in which it was perpetrated caused DIG Singh and SP OP Tripathi to direct the Lasudia police to solve the case at the earliest.

Accordingly a police team went to Badnagar, the native village of the employee, Vinay Gurjar, who was the prime accused in the case. The team nabbed Vinay along with his associate Ravi Gurjar and brought them to the city.

Both Vinay and Ravi are drivers and Ravi is employed with Hans Travels. Based on the information provided by the two accused, the police also recovered the cash, gold chain, and the mobile phone. The accused are being questioned by the police now.
