Indore: Thousands of subscribers of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited ( BSNL) had to face difficulties as mobile phone services were affected in the district on Thursday. As a result, the subscribers could not make calls from their mobile phones in the evening.
They could not get calls either on their handset.BSNL mobile phones went dead about 6 pm.Though BSNL local unit general manager GC Pandey said that the services were resumed in two hours by 8 pm, the subscribers complained of facing difficulties in making calls till late night.
They were even unable to call on BSNL landline phones and even mobile to mobile call on BSNL connections was out of reach.Even after 8 pm when services were resumed, people complained of glitches in network.“ The phone calls would drop automatically midstream,” they said.
Pandey said that the network problem occurred because of energisation of Main Switching Centre ( MSC) here.The problem was found and rectified. Mainly, 3G mobile phone subscribers faced difficulty as this service in completely based on MSC.
