Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh): Former state minister and senior BJP leader Archana Chitnis has written a letter to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan seeking appointment of an anaesthetist in district hospital and inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under CM Covid Treatment Scheme.
Chitnis contributed to setting up the hospital with Rs 32 crore sanctioned by chief minster. Burhanpur with population of more than 8 lakh is inhabited by large number of labourers and poor sections of the society.
In fact, Chitnis pressed for appointment of an anaesthetist during a review meeting on Covid control held for all districts of Indore division recently through video conferencing.
Chitnis has also made a demand for inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under CM Covid Treatment Scheme. The letter stated that under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the beneficiaries included in the 2011 Census are registered and it has been 10 years since 2011 census was held. Though the CM Covid Treatment Scheme has been implemented, it cannot be availed by eligible beneficiaries due to above reason.
