Burglars decamp with cash, valuables from two places

Indore : Unidentified burglars struck at two deserted house separate localities and took away cash, jewelry and other valuables in last 24 hours.

In Palasia area, the burglars entered the house of Kantilal Verma, a resident of 28 Vandana Nagar when the house owner had gone to attend some function early on Tuesday morning.

When he returned in the evening, he found the lock of the house broken and various household goods scattered on the floor. The burglars took away Rs 32,000, a gold pendant, 8 silver coins, two ATM cards and some important documents from the almirah, Verma told the police. A case was registered at Palasia police station.

In another incident under Rajendra Nagar area, burglars broke into the house of Vishal Thakur, a resident of Vidur Nagar when he had gone to attend a wedding along with the family out of the city between April 20 and 24.

When the house owner returned, he found the lock of the house broken and a gold necklace, a locket, a pair of earrings, a silver chain and anklets were stolen from the almirah. The victim immediately informed police and filed a complaint at Rajendra Nagar police station.
