Huge crowds throng electronics, jewellery stores
Indore:All the city markets did brisk business on the auspicious day of ‘ Pushya Nakshatra’ on Tuesday. The sales ran into crores, especially in the jewellery, automobiles, electronics, clothing and real estate sector. A large number of people thronged the traditional markets as well as the shopping malls and made a huge purchase on the day. Even in this techno savvy era, people bought the ‘ Bahi- Khata’ as to follow the ritual in believe to keep their account flourished throughout the year. Pushya Nakshatra signals the onset of Diwali festival, one of the most important Hindu festivals. The shopping spree which kicked off on Tuesday would last until Dhan Teras, which would be followed by Deewali few days later.
The day was proved jackpot for almost of the merchants and specially for the Sarafa market. The condition of no place for putting a foot was made all the day in the market and people brought the jewellery with a record of crores. Along with sarafa the huge showrooms of branded jewellery were also seen full and remained open till late night.
The discounts and offers attracted people whereas the schemes for buying the jewellery on installments also pulled the people towards the market. Mukesh Lahoti of Sarafa said that people can purchase a silver foil of Rs 1,000 note for Rs 250. He said the notes weighing about 6 grams are available in limited quantity and would be sold on first come first serve basis.
Likewise every year, not only the markets of jewellery saw boom but the automobiles sectors also had the record of crores of selling till late night. Around thousands of two- wheelers and four- wheelers were sold. The automobile companies also launched various new vehicles for luring the families of every size and the dealers also didn’t let any stone unturned. People also brought the home appliances according to their requirement and this sector also recorded the sale of crores throughout the day. People with the gifts packs could be seen easily in the roads as the markets also faced the problem of parking.
Many people had their dream homes According to sources, large number of people had brought their dream homes after seeing the best ‘ muhurt’ of the day. With the different financial scheme, people got ease to invest in the real estate.
Sources said that the real estate market also witnessed boom as large number of people entered their new homes and many booked it for taking possession in near future. The record sale in the market felt up the merchants with enthusiasm and to get ready for the upcoming Dhan- Teras and Diwali to get a surprise sell.
