Indore: People noticed a girl and boy involved in a scuffle in the university premises, on Saturday and assuming that the boy may be forcing himself upon the girl, people called the police.

Police reached the spot and brought the two to the police station. During questioning, the matter turned out to be a love affair and the girl refused to lodge a complaint against the boy.

The incident occurred opposite India Coffee House located in the varsity premises. One Vishal reached the premise in a car with a girl in tow. The two had argument which led to a brawl causing people to call the police. The police brought the two to the police station and questioned and found out that the matter was related to a love affair. They met in the into a brawl. The girl flatly denied that Vishal was forcing himself on her and refused to lodge the complaint, but nevertheless the police took a written application from the girl.

University security

Tahe incident has raised questions over security in the varsity once again. The duo is not students in the university. Last year, the administration had taken a decision not to allow anyone without proper identity card after 6 pm and yet the two entered the premises Sources said that the duo entered the premise together in the car and therefore question raised over the security arrangements.

There have been several such incidents in the past and now the university is installing CCTV cameras in the premises.

After the incident came to light, an inquiry was conducted and it was found that both were not students of the varsity. Now, security establishment has been asked to explain the lapse. – Deepak Mehta – Campus in- charge Questions raise over security
