Boundary wall of temple razed

Indore : A joint-team of the district Administration, IDA and police removed boundary wall of a temple and also vacated government land of about 5,000 square feet, on Tuesday. The team members faced stiff opposition from local residents while carrying out the anti-encroachment drive.

The team reached the spot behind Radisson Hotel to remove encroachment made in the form of a temple covering around 5000 sq feet land. As the team led by SDM Sapana Shivale started operation, the local residents opposed the move.

They sat before the JCB machine and also stand on the digger arm of the JCB. They were protesting that notice was on served before conducting the drive but the IDA officials said that the documents shown by the residents were not legitimate.

Later, Shivale asked the team to remove boundary wall of the temple by pushing back people. However, the temple structure was not removed.

During the action, Executive Engineer GN Singh, AE Pramod Garg, CSP KK Sharma and TI of Vijay Nagar police station Chhatrapal Singh Solanki were present and helped in maintaining law and order.
