Indore: Due to bomb threat in Shirdi Sai temple and Khajrana Ganesh temple, the city police took all precautionary measures at Khajrana temple on Saturday.
A few days ago, some SIMI ultras threatened to bomb two pilgrim spots— Saibaba temple at Shirdi and Ganesh temple of Khajrana, Indore on November 9. The warning was given in a letter. Because of which police have to do this whole exercise and the devotees also have to bear some inconvenience.
Police in- charge Khalid Mushtaq reached the temple early morning at 7: 30, with his team and bomb disposal squad ( BDS) and dog squad.
They began the special drive of checking the premise, especially parking areas and vehicles. Besides, the surrounding shops of laddoo and toys were also checked.
The beggars wandering inside the temples were sent out of the premise. Besides, main Ganesh temple all other temples built inside the premises, were also checked by the BDS and dog squad. Though, nothing dangerous was found in whole checking.
In the threatening letter, a car was also mentioned; saying that, the car will be used for bomb explosion. On investigation, the car was found belonging to one fodder trader Sanjay Katariya. But, police found no role of Katariya in such rumour.
The SP OP Tripathi said that, police are fully alert and will take prompt action on any alarming information and the security arrangements of temple are tightened.
