Indore : Bodies of an elderly couple, who went missing since last 10 days, were found in decomposed state in a field in Heera Nagar area, on Friday. They had left their house to take money from a man but didn’t return. Family members alleged that the couple was killed by the same person from whom they had gone to take money but the police said that it would be cleared only after the post-mortem report.
Superintendent of Police (East) OP Tripathi said, “We got information about the bodies of a couple in the field of one Parmanand in Bhangarh village. The bodies were in decomposed state. We didn’t find any weapon or any other thing, which directly indicates a case of murder but we have sent the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.”
After the recovery of bodies, the police went through the missing complaints of various police stations and identified the bodies as that of Mulchand Prajapat (76), and his wife Shakunbai (70), residents of Dwarkapuri.
Deceased’s son Hemraj said that his parents had left on July 7 for taking money from one Bablu at IT Park Square but they didn’t return.
“Bablu is involved in black magic activities and he was introduced to my father by a woman in our area. My father had given Rs 4 lakh to Bablu but he was not returning the money. They left to take money from Bablu on July 7,” Hemraj said.
He alleged that the police didn’t try to search his parents even after registering a missing complaint. Meanwhile, police station in-charge of Dwarkapuri Rajeev Tripathi said that they had started searching for the couple after registering the missing complaint.
