BJP will retain power in state, says Najma

Indore: “ The announcement of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as prime ministerial candidate of the BJP has not distanced the Muslim voters but inversely attracted more Muslims to vote for the party.” These were the comments of former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Dr Najma Heptullah while addressing a press conference, organized at Indore Press Club, on Saturday.

BJP will retain power in state, says Najma

Additionally she said, “ BJP is hoping that the vote bank politics in the name of Muslim voters will cease soon and we will get more and more votes from Muslim voters.” Talking about Gujarat, she said, “ In 15 years of the BJP rule, only one religious riot has occurred, whereas in the Congress governed states several religious conflicts have cropped up.” She added, “ The Congress has been medicated for corruption and the Central Government is full of people who are corrupt and face several corruption charges.

Even, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi do not discuss about corruption.” Upon being asked about Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minster, the senior BJP leader said, “ The post of prime minister is suitable only to a mature person, and Rahul Gandhi has not reached that level of maturity.” Talking about Chouhan’s governance, she said, “ BJP will come to power for the 3rd consecutive time in the state. The development work of Shivraj Singh Chouhan are highly appreciated and this proves that people will be supporting BJP in these polls.”
