Police present them in court .. Stolen mobiles seized FREE PRESS FOLLOW- UP

Indore: Police presented the accused of raping a student in Bhawarkuan area, before the court on Wednesday. The court ordered judicial custody of the accused till March 20. The police also took out a procession of the accused. Three looted mobile phones were also seized from the possession of the accused. According to the police, a girl was raped by her boyfriend behind Shiv Residency, on Khandwa Road, around a month ago.

Meanwhile, six youth of Umarikheda village also reached there and gangraped the girl after knocking off her boyfriend. The police said the victim was promised marriage by her boyfriend but he refused later after which she lodged a compliant at Bhawarkuan police station. Acting swiftly, the police arrested seven accused on Tuesday. The accused were identified as Abhinav Nagpal, victim’s boyfriend, Chhotelal, Vinod, Deepak, Suresh, Ravi and Jeevan.

” The police took out a procession of the accused while irate villagers demanded and tried to thrash the accused, who were saved by the police,” sources said. Police seized one mobile phone from the outskirts of Khandwa Road, another from the possession of accused Chhotelal and the third one from a well, which was taken out by the fire brigade police. Judge Jitendra Kushwah ordered to send the accused in judicial custody.
