Indore: Days after malpractice in answer books of BEd 2nd semester exam were traced, the DAVV examination committee sent a list of examiners to evaluation centre asking it to get the answer books scrutinized again. The committee directed evaluation centre not to give answer books for evaluation to any other examiners who are not on the recommended list.
Meanwhile, sources in the DAVV claimed that the number of subjects in which malpractice was traced during reviewing answer book reached to six. When the pass percentage for BEd 2nd Sem exam as found at 96, the university withheld the results and conducted a sample review in which gross irregularities were found in the evaluation of answer books.
EC member seeks inquiry
DAVV Executive Council member Alok Dawar has sought an inquiry into the alleged BEd exam scam. He said that it was inappropriate on the part of Vice chancellor Narendra Dhakad to give clean cheat to the university employees without inquiry. “It was also inappropriate to accuse examiners of malpractice without probe. I request the V-C to order an inquiry into the matter to identify the culprits,” said Dawar.
