Khetia (Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh): Once lagging behind the vaccination target, Khetia, a small village in Pansemal tehsil of Barwani district, will achieve 100 per cent vaccination target in next few days.

Situated about 120 kilometres from district headquarters, the village already crossed 50 per cent (precisely 51.59 per cent) vaccination mark with 1,017 people getting vaccinated on Monday.

So far 4,818 people (above 18 age group) out of 9,339 have been vaccinated. Now, only 4,521 people remain to be inoculated. If everything goes well, 100 per cent vaccination will be achieved soon, deputy collector Anshu Jawla said.

Special arrangements are being made under guidance of district collector Shivraj Singh Verma to get the remaining 4,521 people vaccinated. Under this, arrangements are being made to get 1,000 vaccinations done every day in Khetia municipal council limit.

Khetia, situated close to Maharashtra border with some of its portion in Nandurbar district in Maharashtra, has a population of 17,000 people. When vaccination began, a large number of people from Nandurbar district thronged Khetia for inoculation.
